Salutations to the holders of Werner Maximilian!
That electric bike has a gravity center too high. With the helmsman at the Chair itself, the gravity center is not a problem when in motion. If more weight was braced to the axle of the wheels, then that would displace the gravity center of the helmsman to a more favorable area. I welded a recumbent frame for what I call a "stretch" bicycle in plans for this, the prior axle rose for the pedals converted to harness a chain while another pair of pedals was on a swivel that would Ascend and Descend when needed -- so as to prevail over two feet of clearance from the ground. It may be difficult to visualize, and I am without a camera to give these. All that is to be said is the more complex the vessel, then the more attractive it is for revenue. The Bastards at the Close here are even challenging some homeless people on the use of a bicycle. I've salvaged many decrepid abandoned Bicycles along the railroad tracks; to outfit them into a reverse trike with a butchered "shopping-cart baskette" on two wheels at the T-bar helm; this to return a great value to a couple of the homeless fellows at the theft of theirs. It's the least I can do.
Sea you around.
without prejudice, M. Gregory Thomas(tm)
Small Craft Advisory Warning: due to High Seas, the Stripes will be lowered until Ordinance is subdued. For the unfettered everyone-else, just shift the POV 90 degrees rite to avoid the Moors at Salvage. |
