Hello Everyone,

As I was reading through the scriptures this morning, I came across Chapter 38 in the book of Ezekiel, and since I am not a bible "expert", I was having quite a bit of difficulties understanding some of the names used in that chapter, such as in verse 2, which states:
quote:
"Gog, the land of Ma'gog, the chief prince of Me'Shech and Tu'bal"
then in verse 6, it states:
quote:
"Go'mer, and all his bands; the house of To-gar'mah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee."
Also, in verse 13 it states:
quote:
"She'ba, and De'dan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof"
This chapter has really confused me. If anyone has any knowledge on what the prophecy is talking about in Ezekiel 38, I would really appreciate it if you could share your wisdom with me.

Thank you in advance for your help.

"I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on your laws."

Thanks everyone for the information.

A little while ago I was watching a sermon on TV which was talking about Ezekiel 38-39 and from what the preacher was saying, it seemed like it was talking about some of the events that are taking place in the middle east today. But that was a little while ago and I can't really remember everything that the preacher was talking about. I should have taken notes while I could.

Here is a link to an article that has a study of Ezekiel 38-39 within it as being fulfilled in Esther.

Hello I am not an expert either but I have a lot of time on my hands so I read a lot. I guess the question would be do you think this is for our time or our future or in their time in their future. In verse 14 it states that "you will say", this sort of tells me it is for that time and their near future not ours?
