Posted - 05 Mar 2004 : 11:24:01 Corporation sole promoters routinely claim that "the corporation sole isn't a corporation," and "a corporation sole isn't anything like an ordinary corporation."
However, it would seem that the few states that permit the formation of the corporation sole don't particularly agree with such claims, and this is readily evidenced by the way those Secretary Of State offices register the corporation sole.
There's an interesting page that confirms this at http://hushmoney.org/corporation-sole_reg.htm
If anyone here knows of any other corporation sole sales outfits, and under what name and where they are registered, it might be a useful exercise to post them here so we can compare how the various states register them.
p.s. I would greatly appreciate it if my posting here weren't hijacked like my earlier posting on the corporation sole was. It seems to me that good etiquette necessitates that replies be on-point with the topic that the original poster is trying to make. |

Posted - 10 Mar 2004 : 16:17:43 So do you have any specific SOS registration information, or at least know what name they are registered under? There is no corporation sole registered anywhere that I can find under the name "Freedom Committee" or anything else that relates to any names on their web site. If Freedom Committee uses one or more corporation soles themselves, it's anyone's guess what their names are, as they're not listed by name on their web site.
To clarify, what I suggested is not that everyone just post links for every corporation sole sales site they know of. That's not a useful exercise, as far as I'm concerned. We're all capable of using search engines, toward that end, if that's what needed to be done.
What I asked for is for Secretary Of State registration information for the corporation soles under which the corporation sole sales operations are functioning. At the very minimum, that requires the specific name of the corporation sole itself. It's also helpful if you know the state it is registered in (that would save me the time of having to search for it in several different states).

Posted - 07 Mar 2004 : 14:02:21 Hello Kirk,
Here is a website with a lot of information about Corp. Soles. Click on the Corp Sole folder on the left side of the window.
http://www.freedomcommittee.com/5522/5522/freedom/
Warning, the folder link only works under Internet Exploder. It won't activate if you are running Netscrape.
