How does God feel about those who love Violence? The flood came because of violence (Genesis 6:11-13). God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of violence (Genesis 13:13). God punished Judah because of their violence (Ezekiel 8:17). God punished the inhabitants of Jerusalem because of their violence (Ezekiel 12:19). Egypt and Edom was made desolate because of the violence against the children of Judah (Joel 3:19). God punished his people because of the violence in the land (Habakkuk 2:8,17). And God threatened to destroy Nineveh because of the violence in its city (Jonah 3:8), but the people of Nineveh turned from their evil ways, and the Lord did not punish them (Jonah 3:10).
Isaiah 2:4, "...they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." (See also Micah 4:3).Psalms 11:5, "The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth."
Psalms 94:1, "O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth,"
Ecclesiastes 5:8, "If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they."
Romans 12:19, "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord."
2 Timothy 2:4, "No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life."

How are we to treat our Enemies? Exodus 20:13, "Thou shalt not kill." (See also Deuteronomy 5:17).
Exodus 23:4-5, "If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again. If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him."
Proverbs 4:14-15, " Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away."
Proverbs 24:17-18, "Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him."
Proverbs 24:29, "Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work."
Proverbs 25:21-22 "If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee."
Matthew 5:39, "But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also."
Matthew 5:44, "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;"
